So That's What They're For!

The other night we were all sitting around the dinner table enjoying one of Daddy's home-cooked meals. Mommy was blabbing about something and Daddy was intently carving the meat when we heard a beautiful sound--our boy was clapping his hands! He'd never done it before, so it shocked us at first. It seemed as if he had just all of a sudden discovered that if you put your hands together with some force, they make a really neat sound. Okay, that or Daddy made some applause-worthy food that night. Probably the latter.

Fall Festival

On Saturday we braved chilly temperatures to go to Barn-n-Bunk's Fall Festival. Wyatt was all bundled up in his camo mittens from Aunt Danielle and Uncle Michael and his toboggan from Nana.

We took a wagon ride around the field...

Wyatt sat in Daddy's lap the whole time and looked around...

He wasn't terribly thrilled by the ride, but he wasn't scared either. After that, we wandered around and looked at the inflatable toys. Wyatt will definitely be ready to play with them next year. One thing he could do this year was pose for a silly picture...

He kept trying to stick his whole head through the hole instead of just his face. Daddy was a little nervous that he might get stuck!

Our final stop was the pumpkin patch. Wyatt loved standing among the pumpkins...

He wanted to touch them all, but they were a little to heavy for him to pick up. He finally helped us find a good one and Daddy carried it out to the car for us...

We had a wonderful time and look forward to next year's Fall Festival!

Extreme Wyatt Makeover

Before:
Aw, isn't he cute? Looks a little impish with that hair, doesn't he? Although Daddy lobbied to let Wyatt's wild mane grow, Mommy eventually convinced him that it needed to be...um, tamed. So we were off to Cookie Cutters Salon for Wyatt's first trim.

Wyatt was excited to have a cool ride...

Until he realized he was strapped in and there was no escape...

Luckily our stylist was fast and efficient. And it didn't hurt that she put in an Elmo DVD to distract him!

And the big reveal...

Once more, here's the Before:

And the After:

He looks more like a little boy and less like a little baby now, doesn't he? Just when we thought he couldn't get any cuter!
