Our little trash man is still going strong with his garbage fascination. His favorite imaginative play activity is lining up toy trash cans, filling them up with toys, dumping them into his Bruder trash truck and emptying the truck at the landfill. (And if Colby is lucky, he's allowed to join in, but only for the truck-emptying stage.)
His obsession also involves spotting trash cans everywhere. On Sunday mornings, he searches the sales ads for trash cans and toys. Once he spots one, he cuts it out and adds it to this collage.
We are continually surprised by Wyatt's inventive ideas inspired by trash cans. Here you can see how he created a trash can toter out of a ball-popper, a toy trash can and a rubber band.
Make no mistake--this kid doesn't miss a beat. Here he's frowning at the mistake on the side of his Playmobil recycle truck. Can you spot it? Look at the recycle symbol. The top of the triangle should be a point, but here it is a flat side with the point at the bottom. It's basically upside down.
We wondered three years ago if this fascination would last long. We think we've gotten our answer!
